Think about it: our home is more than just a mirror; it is a dynamic force that is constantly responding to the intentions of us who live in it. Our homes affect us just as we affect them. The colors, the patterns and structures with which we surround ourselves generate energetic vibrations that, with correct feng shui, may benefit us in all areas of our lives.

Changing the décor of our home can change our energy, and by physically shifting five feng shui elements (metal, water, wood, fire, earth), we can shift our energy that flows through our body & our home. By becoming aware of how our home mirrors us, and how to shift its energy, we can turn our home into a force that heals, restores balance, and encourages growth.

Even though skeptics have labeled feng shui as being a 'new age' kind of thing, and regardless of how we feel about feng shui, it was taught and practiced as far back as 276-324 during the Jin Dynasty. Feng Shui has been around for thousands of years. We can be skeptical, but we can not deny the impact of Chi (energy) on our lives. Even the genius, Albert Einstein understood the impact of the unseen, untouchable of Chi (energy).

When we incorporate feng shui with an interior decorator, we can implement yin or yang décor adjustments according to our needs with shapes, colors, furnishings, lighting, windows and floor treatments. The density and size of what you place in your surroundings can lighten up an area (yang), or softened it (yin) in another. Feng shui is not always a case of choosing what feels natural to us. If you are yin, then the design must be yang, and vice versa.

There are many technical considerations in the architectural design of a home; also there are many technical considerations in the Feng Shui design of a home. When we can put the two together we have a much higher quality space. Use Feng Shui well, it can bring us prosperity; help us achieve a higher position, and give birth to great children.

September 30, 2006, all the interior design-related showrooms along the street of Girard in La Jolla have a joint open house, with cocktails, food, entertainment, etc. This event is very well attended by both the interior designers and high-end design customers.

It will be held at their showroom from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm. There will be music, entertainment and refreshments; and a chance to participate in a charity drawing. The event is held in La Jolla, California, free of charge. RSVP 858-456-9443 or email us at gwen@FengShuiSanDiego.Com
