Feng Shui for Realtors
Friday, February 13th, 2004, North County San Diego County Association of Realtors in Vista sponsors a one-hour Feng Shui class for Realtors. Although the class was directed toward Realtors it attracted not only Realtors but also Business Managers, Real Estate Brokers/Owners, Doctors, Dentists, Title Companies Representatives, and Escrow officers. The class was informative and exciting.

Isabella Fiore, a wonderful company that truly believes in Feng Shui, designs and creates purses with love and harmony, generously donated a purse to raffle. Their collector purses can be purchased at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus or Saks Fifth Avenue.

Tracie Hasse from Heritage Escrow was the lucky winner of the Isabella Fiore purse. What a way to celebrate Valentines! Congratulations, Tracie!

The following are questions that were asked during the class:

Q: Is it OK to put Samurai Warrior statues in front of a house instead of the lions?
A: Yes, providing it goes with the house décor.
Q: Can I place only one lion in the front door?
A: It is always best to place everything in pairs. “Luck comes in pairs. Single comes in despair.”
Q: As soon as I open my front door, the stairs are seen directly from the front door. Is this a bad Feng Shui?
A: From a Feng Shui viewpoint, the Chi (energy) comes too fast and it is more difficult to maintain balance and harmony. To do a “quick fix” feng shui, you can place a plant, or a beautiful crystal light fixture to slow down the Chi.
Q: I was told to hang a Pakua mirror on the stairs to deflect the negative energy.
A: Ah, be careful. A mirror can work for you; it can also work against you. Never hang a Pakua mirror inside the house. Even outside of your home, you must hang the correct mirror that is appropriate for your intention to remove the negative energy or invite the positive energy. If you don’t know the right mirrors, or a right place to place it, better not to do it at all.
Q: My clients backed out of escrow in the last minute after discovering there was a death in the house. It was a typical old age, natural death. How do I overcome my clients fear?
A: Death is considered negative energy regardless whether it is a natural or unnatural death. The “death energy” still lingers in the house. To clear the “death energy”, perhaps you should consider offering a “space clearing” to remove unwanted energy. Please see the information in this website under “Space Clearing”.
Q: How do I improve my luck?
A: Everyone has 3 kinds of luck: Heaven luck (you were born lucky, like Donald Trump, Bill Gates), Man luck (hard work, work 2 jobs, or 1 job with lots of overtime, always constantly working), and Feng Shui luck (using Feng Shui to enhance your luck). To enhance your Feng Shui luck, you should sit in the right direction at the right time to attract the right luck. A Feng Shui Master can help you to do this.
Q: I was told to use red paint to attract wealth, is that true?
A: No. This depends on your date of birth, and your home construction date. Many factors must be considered before colors can be determined and applied. For an example: Red is my primary color based on my Kua number but for my husband, red is a wrong color for him. So be careful, Feng Shui is not a one size fits all remedy. (If you don’t know your kua number, email gwen@fengshuisandiego.com or call 858-456-9443, you will receive your kua number & your suitable colors free of charge).
Q: Does lot shape have anything to do with Feng Shui?
A: Yes. Definitely. You can enhance Feng Shui in many things but not the lot shape. Ideally, the lot shape should be square, or rectangular. But again, it depends where it is situated. Is the backyard facing the ocean, the canyon? Then perhaps it is not a good lot. This is where you need a Feng Shui Master to evaluate and to do a Feng Shui remedy (if it can be done).
Q: My house is haunted. Can you help?
A: No, you do not need a Feng Shui master. You need an Exorcist. Feng Shui and Space Clearing is applied only to enhance and promote positive energy to enter your home or your business. It has nothing to do with “the other side”.
Q: Can you tell us about yourself? How did you get involved in Feng Shui?
A: I grew up with Feng Shui so it is my second nature. I applied Feng Shui during my college years. I applied Feng Shui during my career. Then, just like “the young and the foolish”, I only applied Feng Shui for Wealth, Career, and Fame but I neglected the other areas of Feng Shui: God, Health, Family, and Relationships so I had to rearrange my priorities by using Feng Shui Nine Areas of Life to create more balance in my life.
